Overview of the Role:

The Mobile QA Engineer has a strong background in quality assurance and specialized experience with mobile application testing in iOS and Android. They will work closely with our product management, software engineers, and other team members to ensure that all released content meets requirements and that we deliver quality products to both internal and external stakeholders. The Mobile Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all released code meets Privia’s high quality standards and ensures software projects are accurately documented and that coded features fulfill the acceptance criteria as outlined.

This role sits on the Privia Product Engineering Team, a team that has built one of the most integrated care delivery environments in the country. Our platform connects our doctors, our patients, and our care management team, enabling high quality, coordinated care. The Product Engineering Team is responsible for building out Privia’s technical capability with new features, functions, and interfaces.

Primary Job Duties:

  • Work with stakeholders, product owners and engineers to understand mobile application development and its integrations in order to determine efficient analysis and testing approaches
  • Write manual tests and maintain test case repositories
  • Execute tests within each sprint cycle to include: functional/acceptance, integration, regression, performance testing and other testing as necessary
  • Manage and report test results
  • Identify and conduct root cause analysis of potential bugs and communicate complex information to both technical and non-technical personnel
  • Maintain test environments to include managing hardware/software, virtual machines, emulators, and test data, and configuring systems for specific test needs
  • Participate in systems monitoring and review issue reports
  • Participate in team building and drive QA efforts towards continuous process improvement to include training and mentoring junior staff and offshore resources.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience
  • Mobile application testing for iOS and Android in a fast paced Agile team
  • Writing test cases and test plans
  • Writing SQL queries
  • Skilled in working across the mobile SDLC model
  • Utilizing an enterprise-class test management tool
  • Working in a ticketing system
  • Must provide accessibility to private, quiet work space with high-speed internet to effectively work remotely
  • Must comply with HIPAA rules and regulations

Preferred additional background and skills:

  • Experience in Mobile Automation or Performance testing
  • API/middle tier testing/testing tool experience
  • UX/Product design knowledge
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with Github or a similar version control system
  • Healthcare IT industry experience
  • Comfortable with command line functions
  • Experience working in a fast growing organization
  • Working knowledge of JIRA

Technical Requirements:

In order to successfully work remotely, supporting our patients and providers, we require a minimum of 5 MBPS for Download Speed and 3 MBPS for the Upload Speed. This should be acquired prior to the start of your employment. The best measure of your internet speed is to use online speed tests like
