Overview of the Role:

The Junior Product Owner is an entry level role that is responsible for supporting specific software projects with the Product Owner from requirements definition to launch and contributing as a team member on larger projects. The Junior Product Owner works with other Product Owners and key business stakeholders to define and convey business needs to the Software development and engineering team.


Primary Job Duties:

  • Organize incoming product requests from a variety of functional areas
  • Clarify and document requirements for projects
  • Verify Testing
  • Maintain project plans, roadmaps, and other documentation
  • Communicate with stakeholders
  • Support and communicate with Product Performance Team, especially with respect to escalated production support concerns and communication around product releases 
  • Support and assist the Product Owner, especially with respect to refinement and maintaining the product backlog
  • Support agile ceremonies including sprint planning, retrospectives, release planning, and sprint reviews


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Database experience, specifically SQL knowledge; understanding how to write and run queries.
  • Requirements analysis experience, working directly with stakeholders and developers
  • QA, Business Analyst or Technical writing experience preferred
  • Familiarity with “Agile” methodologies, tools and practices
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize, strong attention to detail, able to follow and enforce processes
  • Eagerness to learn new skills and frameworks, as necessary
  • Evidence of technical skills - candidate does not need to be a developer, but needs to be able to investigate technical issues
  • Willing and able to solve problems without depending on others

Technical Requirements for Remote Work:

In order to successfully work remotely, supporting our patients and providers, we require a minimum of 5 MBPS for Download Speed and 3 MBPS for the Upload Speed. This should be acquired prior to the start of your employment. Work with your internet provider if you have questions about your connection. Employees who regularly work from home offices are eligible for expense reimbursement to offset this cost.
