Overview of the Role:

We’re seeking a Population Health Analyst to help us continue to scale and optimize our operational

capabilities. In this role, you will serve as a high-impact member of one of Privia Health’s market teams,

working to deliver data-driven insights to key stakeholders in the market.

You will work with a cross-functional team composed of Population Health, Analytics, Quality, Risk

Adjustment, and Operations to understand evolving requirements and business needs to build reports using

payer and internal data. You will also execute business and payer-facing ad hoc analyses, using data to

guide strategic discussions among and between internal and external stakeholders.


Primary Job Duties:

● Work closely with the Population Health, Quality, and Risk Adjustment team to understand their

evolving information needs, and plan and executive on analytics strategies and solutions that are in

alignment with those needs.

● Create and maintain reporting capabilities within the market, leveraging Privia’s national

Analytics resources, to assist in the creation of presentations within the market for providers and

other key stakeholders.

● Assist in the development of key performance indicators (KPIs), and develop a corresponding

suite of reports and dashboards that help functional heads understand and impact performance

over time

● Extract and transform data from Privia’s data warehouse, translate data into actionable insights

and compelling narratives, and convey key findings to market leadership

● Pull data from a variety of payer platforms, perform analysis across the payers to identify trends

on key measures, summarize findings for market leadership and prepare for payer meetings

accordingly

● Monitor key automatic data feeds to ensure those feeds are working as designed, design strategies

to address any identified issues and communicate those plans with market leadership

● Work with Privia’s national Analytics team to continually improve reporting and analytics needs

● Work with the Product Team to create additional data feeds as new needs arise

● Produce reports for quality care gap closure and review the results to ensure proper credit has been

received for those efforts

● Perform other duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications:

● Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer

Science, etc.) or equivalent experience

● 2-5 years’ experience in consulting, analytics, finance, or related function (startup experience a

plus)

● Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and PowerPoint

● Experience with business intelligence platforms (MicroStrategy, Tableau, Qlik, Looker, etc.)

● Understanding of data visualization best practices

● Experience integrating data across disparate sources and platforms

● Previous experience in a healthcare environment

● Experience with VBA for automation tasks

● Experience with (or a desire to learn) Python or R for statistical analysis

● Experience with (or a desire to learn) quality measures such as HEDIS (Healthcare Effectiveness

Data and Information Set), Medicare Advantage Stars measures, and measures included in the

MIPS (Merit-Based Incentive Payment System)

● Must comply with HIPAA rules and regulations

● Ability to convey technical topics to non-technical audiences

● Ability to prioritize multiple work streams
