Overview of the Role:


The Business Manager [Finance] will play a critical role on Privia’s business development team.  This individual will perform extensive financial analyses and support strategy development for organic and non-organic growth initiatives.  This person will also collaborate with other groups throughout sales, finance, operations and the broader organization, and work directly with key executives, including the SVP and VP of Business Development.


Primary Job Duties: 

Finance (60%)

  • Develop financial forecast models during due diligence, including critical value proposition for partners, based on robust analyses of market growth potential, revenue / cost drivers and synergies
  • Build detailed near-term operating and financial budgets in conjunction with partners, operational leaders and the finance team during the deal integration phase, to be tracked against and continuously updated over time
  • Create presentation materials summarizing potential opportunities and financial analyses, and present findings to senior executives 
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support as necessary on business development deals


Business Development (40%)

  • Evaluate potential opportunities for growth and development, including: partnerships, acquisitions and minority investments
  • Lead engagements on financial and operational due diligence, including acquiring financial data from practice management systems to develop models and analyses
  • Build business cases for new market opportunities, including scoping and market segmentation
  • Assist in managing cross-functional efforts from end-to-end for business development deals, including post-deal integration
  • Project manage a variety of initiatives and cross-functional stakeholder communication through regular meetings, status updates, and other communications, to ensure business development initiatives are on-track and successful



Minimum Qualifications:


  • 2+ years of experience in an analytical role, with experience in financial modeling and strategic analysis, is strongly preferred
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills required
  • 1-2+ years experience working in investment banking, consulting, corporate finance, business analysis or equivalent is a plus
  • Bachelor’s in Finance, Business or a quantitative subject is required; an MHA, MPH, MBA or other advanced degree is a plus
