Overview of the Role:

The Associate Manager, Market Development will be responsible for leading project management and supporting strategy development for organic and non-organic growth. This leader will work with market leadership to formulate strategies for existing markets as well as other business development opportunities to ensure our operating footprint has a strong value proposition. This person will need to collaborate with a variety of cross-functional stakeholders (internally and externally), and will need to build consensus on the go-forward approach. 

Primary Job Duties: 

  • Successfully project manage a variety of initiatives, including organizing, coordinating and manage staff and clients within a predetermined budget and timeline 
  • Manage stakeholder communication through regular meetings, status updates, and other written communications
  • Develop and implement actions plans with marketing, sales, and operations to ensure business development initiatives are successful. Facilitate weekly meetings to monitor progress 
  • Work to determine potential entities for joint ventures, partnerships, or acquisition
  • Serve as key team member in ensuring appropriate escalation of issues to internal teams and leadership
  • Assist in financial due diligence efforts to assess potential partners based on historical and projected financial and operating trends 
  • Lead engagements and acquire financial data from practice management systems and other pertinent data elements to conduct due diligence 
  • Manage, coach and mentor other members on the team in a variety of project management, business strategy, financial modeling activities 
  • Provides excellence in customer service and expects the same from team
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s in Finance, Management or Accounting is required; an MHA, MPH, MBA or other advanced degree is preferred
  • Experience using advanced functions in Excel is required
  • 1-3 years’ experience in audit, project management, consulting or a healthcare quantitative field. 
  • Healthcare experience is strongly preferred
  • Experience with project management tools
  • Strong PowerPoint skills is required
  • Must comply with HIPAA rules and regulations

  • Ability to present finding to senior leadership and clients
  • Exceptional communication skills at all levels and ability to convey technical topics to non-technical audiences
  • Ability to handle high levels of pressure and apply critical decision making with constantly shifting priorities.
  • Ability to understand complicated problems and supply concise and relevant answers; ability to make informed and data-based recommendations
