Overview of the Role:

The Senior Product Owner is responsible for owning specific software projects from requirements definition to launch and contributing as a team member on larger projects. The Sr. Product Owner works with key business stakeholders to define and convey business needs to the software development and engineering team. The Sr. Product Owner serves as a subject matter expert (SME) for owned products in production.


Primary Job Duties:

  • Clarify and document requirements
  • Verify Testing
  • Ensure enhancements are delivered in a high quality and timely manner
  • Manage incoming product requests from a variety of functional areas
  • Manage stakeholder expectations
  • Maintain prioritized product backlog
  • Maintain existing projects, including ensuring products are meeting the agreed upon Service Level Agreement (SLA)
  • Track all projects on detailed timelines to meet deadlines and work with the Product Engineering team throughout the product lifecycle including scope definitions, roadmaps, use cases, requirements, user stories, project dependencies and QA.
  • Own projects independently and mentor more junior team members


Minimum Qualifications


  • 4+ years of prior requirements analysis experience, working directly with stakeholders and developers, or 4+ years combined requirements analysis and QA, Technical writing, or similar experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree required, healthcare experience preferred
  • Experience working with “Agile” methodologies, tools and practices
  • Experience building both iOS and Android mobile applications
  • Strong technical skills - not a developer, but is able to investigate technical issues
  • Willing and able to solve problems without depending on others
  • Database experience and SQL knowledge
  • Must comply with HIPAA rules and regulations
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects independently

Physical Demands:

The physical and mental demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to sit or stand at a computer workstation for long periods of time, perform computer tasks including keyboarding, possess near visual acuity for operating a computer, and communicate verbally with others in person, via video-conference, and via phone. The employee must be able to understand and follow detailed instructions, perform complex or varied tasks, make decisions, maintain a fast pace of work, and work under pressure.
