Overview of the Role:


The Sales Associate at Privia belongs to the Sales & Marketing Operations team (SOS team). The SOS team generates qualified leads for sales directors and provides general sales support in areas such as market intelligence, customer segmentation strategies, and prospecting plans for field sales. 


A key responsibility for every Sales Associate is inside sales – contacting practices, qualifying leads, and setting initial entry points for our field sales representatives. Inside sales is the foundation for a salesperson, and a Sales Associate is trained and coached to be effective in-the-field over time.


The ideal candidate is someone with a strong curiosity, is comfortable working in a face-paced environment, and wants to get involved with many tactical aspects of launching a market for a fast-growing company. They should have a desire to be a world-class salesperson, while feeling comfortable in areas of market analysis, strong interpersonal skills, and a desire to make a huge impact in healthcare.


Primary Job Duties: 


  • Conduct targeted, relationship-building, outbound telephone calls to prospective independent physician practices to identify decision makers and qualify opportunities with the goal of setting qualified appointments 
  • Perform deep market analyses to understand local patterns, customer segments, and high-value targets
  • Conduct background research on leads to ensure viability
  • Act as single point of contact for new and interested providers and practices
  • Support Directors with follow-up with interested physicians and managing opportunities to close
  • Work with the varied constituencies in Sales and Marketing to drive lead generation with top accounts and new opportunities
  • Contribute new ideas and share best practices with a rapidly scaling national sales team
  • Track activities, leads, and pending deals in Salesforce (CRM) and participate in weekly sales meetings and calls with internal and external teams


Minimum Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Experience selling products or services, especially in a non-professional setting (preferable) 
  • Know your way around Salesforce, Excel, other analytics tools (preferable)
  • Healthcare experience working with physician offices (preferable)
  • Must comply with HIPAA rules and regulations
